Subject: Strong opposition to acquisition of military equipment Date: Thursday, May 19, 2022 10:23:45 PM
This email message is of extreme importance to those of us living in Sacramento (I'm in CD6)! Police departments have no business using military equipment in our communities. It appalls me to think that the city I live in would even consider such a thing. It is the most frightening sight to see films of such incidents where police use this equipment AND, if they have it, they WILL use it. This is not only unjustified, it would be the beginning of the end.
I sincerely hope you will use your vote to vote NO.
Thank you for your consideration.

Subject: Cares funding act
Date: Friday, May 20, 2022 9:27:49 AM
Sacramento City Council,
Deer council my name is Julie roots I am currently homeless in Sacramento I still try to keep up on an important things like this I don't believe that the cares funding act is really necessary because with all the money that places like Sacramento covered is getting they still do not help anybody they put us in home full of roaches take it out of homes that are we don't even need to be taken out of refusd services and they discriminate to whom they give homes too and who they don't I've been waiting almost 3 years with section 8 to get home and steal I wait now that I stick up for myself and say something I'm still refused and put back at the end of the section 8 line telling me to call 211 I haven't seen nobody get anything from Sacramento covered or any kind of housing except for Mercy housing. Where are the funds going that they're supposed to be getting already why take from another group when they don't do anything with the money that is already given to them but pay their ow n paychecks Julie Roots
