As a city resident, I would like the City of Sacramento as soon as possible to develop a City to County program to hire homeless or other people in need to clean up and maintain the City . For example, on a daily basis many sectors of this City and County could constantly be maintained, removing trash, cleaning and sanitizing sidewalks, rivers , lakes, parks, getting rid of debre, and LANDSCAPING areas of the City and County that are neglected etc.
The City could install public restrooms and showers specifically homeless and charge no more then a dollar for use. Funds can then be applied to the Homeless Hiring Employment program for raises and even more housing grants for the workers. Another idea could be to Partner with City Jail or other facilities in Elk Grove for shelters in addition to the TINY homes and shelters that are planned.

A reminder that P&PE recommendations (2.40) to the Clerk's Office (that includes recommendation 2.40.160 - Prohibits Boards and Commissions from establishing Standing Committees and Ad Hoc Committees) is Consent Calendar Item #2 on tomorrows (June 28, 2022) Agenda for the City Council's 5pm meeting to (Pass for Publication) the ordinance title per Sacramento City Code section 32(c) for consideration on July 19, 2022.
I oppose the recommendation to Prohibit Boards and Commissions from establishing Ad Hoc Committees!
