Description/Analysis
Issue Detail: The Sacramento County Housing Authority received 494 Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV) in July 2021 to house homeless households. Referrals to this program come through the Continuum of Care, managed by Sacramento Steps Forward. So far, more than 150 families have been housed with an ongoing rental subsidy. During this presentation, the Board will hear one family’s story about how they were able to secure a new home and the challenges they faced before reaching success.
