File ID: 2023-00076 3/7/2023 Consent Item 19.
Environmental Considerations:
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA): No environmental review is necessary because the recommendations in this report involve the purchase of parts and services are not considered to be a project in accordance with Section 15378(b)(2) of the guidelines.
Sustainability: Not applicable.
Commission/Committee Action: None.
Rationale for Recommendation: On October 30,2 018, City Council passed a Resolution No. 2018- 01325 (Contract 2018-1578), awarding a five-year contract to Downtown Ford of Sacramento for the purchase of on-call body repair services for light-duty vehicles. The Fleet Management Division has determined that, due to a higher rate of utilization than originally anticipated, the current contract authority will be exhausted prior to the end of the contract term and recommends approval of Contract Supplement No. 6 to avoid any disruption in service.
Financial Considerations: Sufficient funds are available in the Department of Public Works, Fleet Management Division’s fiscal year 2022/23 operating budget (Fleet Fund, Fund 6501) to purchase body repairs through June 30, 2023. Purchases made after June 30, 2023, are subject to funding availability in the adopted budget of the applicable fiscal year.
Local Business Enterprise (LBE): Downtown Ford of Sacramento is an LBE.
