Issue Detail: Due to continuing requirements to provide quality emergency medical services, Sacramento Fire Department (SFD) is partnering with California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) to provide quality training at a low cost to the Sacramento community.
This training would be available to individuals with a high school diploma or General Education Diploma and a valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. The program has drawn the interest of women and minority communities, in which SFD has a hiring shortfall. This opportunity would also be open to SFD EMTs who want to upgrade to Paramedic.
