Description/Analysis
Issue Detail: The order of succession for the SHRA Executive Director is adopted every two years by resolution or if there is a change required to the designated individuals. Adoption of the order of succession resolution allows for the Executive Director to designate specific individuals to assume the duties and obligations of the Executive Director’s office during planned or unplanned absences or disability. The recommendation requests approval of the attached resolutions designating specific individuals to assume duties and responsibilities of the office in the event of the Executive Director’s absence.

Policy Considerations: To ensure the smooth and continuous operations of the Agency a resolution of succession is required in order to identify who will assume the Executive Director’s duties and obligations during planned or unplanned absences or disability.

Economic Impacts: None.

Environmental Considerations: California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA): The proposed actions consist of governmental fiscal, organizational or administrative activities that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment, and as such, do not constitute a “project”

under CEQA, Guidelines Section 15378 (b)(4).
