APPROVING CONTRACT AWARD AND FUND TRANSFER FOR THE
WESTSHORE PARK PROJECT (L19175300)
BACKGROUND
A. Westshore Park is a 5.08-acre neighborhood park located at 3822 Lake Katie Way (Council District 1).
B. The Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment (Department) is seeking approval to construct the Westshore Park Project. The project consists of development of concrete walkways, a children’s swings, a tennis court with pickle ball court overlay, a basketball court, a group exercise area with various fitness equipment stations, a games area with two cornhole games, chess game tables and shade structure and group seating areas, concrete park sign, irrigation system and landscaping.
C. The construction of the Westshore Park Project is expected to be completed in Fall 2024.
D. A dditional funding is necessary to cover the construction and staff costs for the project.
BASED ON THE FACTS SET FORTH IN THE BACKGROUND, THE CITY COUNCIL RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The construction plans and specifications for the Westshore Park Project (L19175300) are approved.
Section 2. The award of the contract for Westshore Park Project with TJR Resources Inc. in the amount of $1,774,722 is approved.
Section 3. The City Manager or the City Manager’s designee is authorized to execute the contract.
Section 4. The City Manager administrative authority for the Park Impact Fees (Fund 3204) available fund balance is reset.
Section 5. The following fund transfers are approved:
Appropriation of $650,000 from the Park Impact Fees (Fund 3204) available fund balance to the Westshore Park Project (L19175300).
