Please state the reason(s) you would like to serve on
this legislative body.

As a young and experienced public servant, I am dedicated to improving every government jurisdiction- especially the jurisdiction in which I reside. Our City is only as good as the City Council and other boards which governs it. To that end, we must ensure that the compensation for Mayor, City
Councilors, and board members is competitive, fair, and based on merit. The question of proper compensation requires
lengthy, thorough studies; such as comparing Sacramento to other cities. Only through an examination of all facts
undertaken by people experienced in executive compensation can we arrive at an appropriate answer.

Please list all of your professional experience directly related to the seat you are applying for.

I am currently the Executive Manager for the Director’s Office at Caltrans. I am responsible for navigating complex, sensitive situations, including those of executive personnel
management. My current experience and State Civil Service human resources background directly apply to the duties of a City Compensation Commission member. I was formerly a
manager and lead analyst in the Director’s Office at the
Department of Managed Health Care, a human resources
analyst at the Office of the State Labor Secretary, and a human resources student assistant at the Secretary of State’s.

In all of these positions, I counseled executive leadership on compensation for appointees and senior civil service
employees based on a variety of factors such as the salaries of current employees, competing entities, geographic factors, scope and complexity of work, etc.

Please list any training or education directly related to the seat you are applying for.

I graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s in political science from Sacramento State University. Over the course of my State Civil Service career, I have participated in many trainings related to aspects of executive appointments, the classification and pay plan, performance management, labor relations, administrative case law, and more.

Please list any additional experience, community
activities, volunteering experience, or other
qualifications that would be helpful in evaluating your
application.

I have always been geared towards public service. In middle and high school, I served as a volunteer recreation leader for my local parks and recreation district.

Please list the Seat(s) you are applying for.
