RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2018-0259
BACKGROUND:
A. In 2018, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2018-0259, which adopted the Council-Staff Linkage Policies recommended by the Governance Ad Hoc Committee.
B. The Council-Staff Linkage policies define the expectations and boundaries for the City Council and staff that report to the City Council.
C. The originally-adopted linkage policies identified the then-chairperson of the Governance Ad Hoc Committee as the point-person for those policies. It is therefore necessary and appropriate to re-adopt the linkage policies with the chairperson of the City Council’s Personnel and Public Employees Committee as the point-person for the policies.
BASED ON THE FACTS SET FORTH IN THE BACKGROUND, THE CITY COUNCIL RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Resolution No. 2018-0259 is hereby rescinded.
Section 2. The Council-Staff Linkage Policies attached as Exhibit A through G are a part of this resolution and are hereby adopted.
