Issue Detail:
This item is intended to provide an oral update to the Law & Legislation Committee (Committee) from the City’s state contract lobbyists. The update will include a summary of 2024 state legislative, administrative and budget activities as well as a discussion of 2025 priorities.
Policy Considerations: The City approves its State and Federal Legislative Platform each year, which articulates the City’s policies in its areas of interest. The City’s state contract lobbyists work collaborative with City staff and elected officials to represent these interests at the state level.
