Description/Analysis
Issue Detail: SAFE Credit Union Convention & Performing Arts District has a multitude of monuments and wayfinding signs around the District. These monuments and signs are vandalized various times per year and need to be repaired or replaced. The bid notified 176 potential bidders. The bid was viewed by 25 potential bidders. The bid closed March 12, 2025. One responsive bid was received from AA Sign Image, Inc.
Policy Considerations: Per City Code section 3.56.090, all contracts involving an expenditure of $250,000 or more must be authorized by the city council. Contracts must be executed by the city manager on behalf of the city, subject to approval as to form by the city attorney. The signature by the city manager certifies that there remains unexpended and unapplied balances of the appropriations or funds applicable to the contract sufficient to pay the estimated expense of executing the contract.
