Issue Detail: Prior to forwarding nominations to the Mayor and Council for confirmation of appointment, the Personnel and Public Employees Committee conducts interviews of applicants for open board and commission positions.
Policy Considerations: Members are appointed in the manner provided by the Charter of the City of Sacramento for the appointment of members of City boards, commissions, and agencies.

The appointment is then confirmed by the whole council.

As a 5th generation Sacramentan, I'm acutely interested in our City's and region's history, as well as design outcomes which may impact the historic fabric of our region.
Please list all of your professional experience directly related to the seat you are applying for.
I've been a landscape architect for over 40 years, and have worked throughout California and the west, as well as in China.
I've focused primarily on urban design and redevelopment, community design, and parks and recreation work, however have done pretty much everything related to the outdoor built environment. This also includes contributions to General and Specific plans, design guidelines, urban design plans, and participation on many boards and commissions over the course of my career.
