A RESOLUTION APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINAS AND HARRIS AND ASSOCIATES FOR THE INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER PUMP STATION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT WHEREAS, on September 13th, 2021, a Request for Proposals (RFP) for providing engineering (consultant) services relate to the Industrial Wastewater Pump Station Improvements project was advertised on the “PlanetBids” web site; and WHEREAS, submittals were received from five firms, and the submittals were reviewed based on the selection criteria listed in the RFP document; and WHEREAS, the review panel comprising of three City staff selected Harris and Associates as the top-ranked firm; and WHEREAS, a Professional Services Agreement was successfully negotiated, and secured with said top-ranked firm; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALINAS, that agreement between the City of Salinas and Wallace Group to provide professional services related to the Industrial Wastewater Pump Station Improvements project (Project No. 9009) in the amount of $ 261,736 is hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of Salinas is hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City of Salinas, and as its act and deed, to execute the attached Agreement for Professional Services between the City of Salinas, a Charter City, and Harris and Associates, a California Corporation; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute extensions and/or non-substantive modifications to the Agreement, as necessary.
