RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH PARKING MANAGEMENT BUREAU FOR PROCESSING OF PARKING CITATIONS AND PARKING PERMITS WHEREAS, the City of Salinas requires contract services related to the processing of parking citations issued by City of Salinas staff and authorized contractors; and WHEREAS, the City of Salinas requires contract services related to the processing and issuance of preferential parking permits to residents living within residential parking districts that specifically limit on-street parking to those area residents with a permit; and WHEREAS, Parking Management Bureau (PMB), a bureau with California State University, Stanislaus, has indicated an interest in providing services to the City of Salinas and has demonstrated success in providing services to other cities and agencies within Monterey County; and WHEREAS, the transition of services to PMB is expected to result in lower costs and higher revenue for the City, while providing improved customer service to the City and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Salinas City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute an Agreement with Parking Management Bureau for the Processing of Parking Citations and Processing of Online Parking Permit Sales and Distribution.
