1. February 1, 2022 – Capital Improvement Program (CIP) instructions & worksheets released; Plan-It CIP database opened for entry
2. February 8 – February 22, 2022 – Community budget meetings (online survey released Dec. 2021) February 8, 2022 6:00 – 8:00 PM Community Budget Meeting #1 (Zoom) February 17, 2022 6:00 – 8:00 PM Community Budget Meeting #2 (Zoom) February 22, 2022 6:00 – 8:00 PM Review of online budget survey results (Zoom)
3. February 15, 2022 (Executive Team meeting) – Highlight budget process & timeline
4. February 17-18, 2022 – New World budget training for directors, managers, & other staff
5. February 17, 2022 – Budget documents released & New World opened for entry
6. February 22, 2022 – Online survey results available
7. March 1, 2022 (Finance Committee meeting) – Budget process & timeline presented
8. March 1, 2022 – CIP input into Plan-It & worksheets due Estimate &/or statement regarding ongoing operating &/or maintenance costs, as applicable, must be included with requests. (Operating &/or maintenance costs must also be included in operating budget appropriation requests, as/when applicable.)
9. March 8, 2022 (Regular City Council meeting) – Budget process & timeline presented & priorities discussed
10. March 11, 2022 – Requested staffing changes due to Finance in writing (Exhibit B) Proposed staffing changes must be accompanied by specific change(s) requested (“what”) & explanation of need for, or benefit of, change (“why”).
11. March 18, 2022 – Everything Due: All budget packet materials, including proposed FY 23 department appropriations & revenue projections in New World, as applicable
12. March 29 – April 1, 2022 – Department meetings with Finance
13. April 13, 2022 – Finance meeting with City Manager
14. April 26, 2022 – Executive Team review (tentative)
15. May 10, 2022 (Regular City Council meeting) – Introduce CIP Budget; Study Session (Department highlight presentation)
16. May 12, 2022 – Measure E Oversight Committee (Department highlight presentation)
17. May 19, 2022 – Measure G Oversight Committee (Department highlight presentation)
18. May 24, 2022 (Regular City Council meeting, 4-6 pm) – Introduce Operating Budget; Study Session (Department highlight presentation)
19. June 14, 2022 – City Council – Adopt CIP & operating budgets
