DISCUSSION:
Staff will give a presentation on the Salinas Police Department’s 2021 Annual Report. The Department has previously generated Biennial Reports covering two-year periods but has shifted to an Annual Report format for 2021 to provide more timely information to the community.
The Annual Report shares the Department’s mission and values, provides an overview of the Divisions and Units within the department, and shares data regarding staffing, budget, crime trends, service response times, and unit activities/operations. The Annual Report also recognizes employee promotions, outstanding duty awards, and retirements.
