RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT OF EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC ROADWAY PURPOSES WHEREAS, the Boronda Road Congestion Relief Project is currently underway and includes improvements from Dartmouth Way to Independence Boulevard; and WHEREAS, during the research and review of the roadway dedications for Phase 1 of the project, it was determined that the strip of land, fronting McKinnon Elementary School on which the existing McKinnon Street is located, further described in Exhibit A and identified in Exhibit B of the Grant of Easement, was dedicated as a public roadway; and WHEREAS, staff and the Santa Rita Union School District (SRUSD) staff and its attorney agreed to dedicate the strip of land to the City of Salinas for public roadway and public utilities easement by way of a “Grant of Easement”, to rectify the public record system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council Accepts the Grant of Easement for public roadway purposes from the Santa Rita Union School District; and Authorizes the Mayor to execute the certificate of acceptance for the Grant of Easement; and Authorizes the City Clerk to submit the Grant of Easement to the Monterey County Recorder for recordation.
