A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PRICE INCREASE FOR TWO VEHICLES WHEREAS, on March 8, 2022, the City Council approved Resolution No. 22311 (N.C.S.) authorizing the purchase of two F-350 Crew Cabs from Salinas Valley Ford for a total cost of $46,644.80; and WHEREAS, Salinas Valley Ford’s pricing has increased since the time of their original quote and the City Council approval of the purchase in the amount of $1,095.50 each totaling $2,185.00 for a new total price of $47,737.30; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds are appropriated and available in 7120.50.5233-66.5500 to cover the increased purchase cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves of the increase in cost to purchase the two vehicles approved in Resolution No. 22311 (N.C.S.) and authorizes the Purchasing Officer to amend the purchase order to reflect the increase in cost of $1,095.50 each for a new total cost of $47,737.30 each.
