RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ALL RESTRICTED GRANT AGREEMENTS AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE CITY OF SALINAS ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN: OUTREACH AND IMPLEMENTATION WHEREAS, the City of Salinas is eligible to receive Federal and/or State funding for certain transportation planning related plans, through the California Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, a Restricted Grant Agreement is needed to be executed with the California Department of Transportation before such funds can be claimed through the Transportation Planning Grant Programs; and WHEREAS, the City of Salinas wishes to delegate authorization to execute these agreements and any amendments thereto; and WHEREAS, the grant is in the amount of $394,844 and the City is responsible for a $76,156 match; and WHEREAS, staff recommends the transfer of $76,156 from CIP 5800.50.9607 Bicycle Lane Installation to a new CIP for the Active Transportation Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves a Resolution to authorize the Public Works Director to execute all Restricted Grant Agreements and any amendments thereto with the California Department of Transportation for the City of Salinas Active Transportation Plan: Outreach and Implementation; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves a Resolution to authorize the transfer of $76,156 of funding from CIP 5800.50.9607 Bicycle Lane Installation to a new CIP for the Active Transportation Plan as grant matching funds.
