RESOLUTION NO. 22200 (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DIRECT PURCHASE OF SIX TOYOTA TACOMA’S AND ONE FORD 350 TRANSIT
WHEREAS, Funds are available in CIP 9270 ($144,420.15) to purchase five Toyota Tacoma’s for the Parks department; and
WHEREAS, Funds are available in CIP 9285 ($67,112.79) to purchase one Toyota Tacoma and one Ford Transit 350 for the Recreation department; and
WHEREAS, Staff chose a 2021 Transit 350 from Salinas Valley Ford at a cost of $38,228.76; and
WHEARAS, Staff chose the 2021 Toyota Tacoma from Salinas Toyota at a cost of $28,884.03 per Tacoma; and
WHEREAS, this purchase meets the requirements of the City’s local purchasing preference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council authorizes the Purchasing Officer to purchase five new Toyota Tacoma’s at a cost of $144,420.15 for the Parks Department and one new Toyota Tacoma and one Ford Transit 350 for the Recreation Department for a total cost of $67,112.79.
