RESOLUTION NO. 22201 (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DIRECT PURCHASE OF VEHICLES FOR THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Funds are available in CIP 9045 ($65,758.60) to purch ase two Toyota RAV4’s for the Housing department Advanced Planning and Project Implementation department; and
WHEREAS, Funds are available in 6900.30.3350-66.5500 ($32,799.55) to purchase one Toyota Tacoma for Permit Services; and
WHEREAS, Staff chose the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrids from Salinas Toyota at a cost of $65,758.60; and
WHEARAS, Staff chose the 2021 Toyota Tacoma from Salinas Toyota at a cost of $32,799.55; and
WHEREAS, the prices offered by Salinas Toyota were within ten percent of the price available through cooperative purchasing, therefore, this purchase meets the requirements of the City’s local purchasing preference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council authorize the Purchasing Officer to purchase from Salinas Toyota one Toyota Tacoma at a cost of $ 32,799.55 for the Permit Services Department and two new Toyota RAV4 Hybrids , one for the Housing Department and one for the Advanced Planning and Project Implementation Department for a total cost of $65,758.60.
