RESOLUTION NO. 22311 (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECT PURCHASE OF ONE FORD F-350 UTILITY BODY AND TWO F-350 CREW CAB TRUCKS
WHEREAS, funds are available in 5800.50.9123-66.5500 to purchase one F-350 for the Fleet Maintenance Division; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in 5800.50.9123 -66.5500 to purchase two F -350 Crew Cabs for the Street Maintenance Division; and
WHEREAS, replacing aging vehicles within the City of Salinas’ vehicle fleet supports City Council’s Strategic Plan and Goals of “Operational Efficiencies;” and
WHEREAS, removing trash from city streets, alleys, ditches, and green belts supports City Council’s Strategic Plan and Goals of “Safe, Livable Community”; and
WHEARAS, Staff chose the 2022 Ford F-350 Utility Body from Salinas Valley Ford at a cost of $60,159.68; and
WHEREAS, Staff chose the 2022 Ford F-350 Crew Cab 4x4 from Salinas Valley Ford at a cost of $46,644.80; and
WHEREAS, this purchase meets the requirements of the City’s local purchasing preference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code section 12-27 the Salinas City Council authorizes the Purchasing Officer to purchase one Ford F- 350 Utility at a total cost of $ 60,159.68 and two 2022 Ford F -350 Crew Cabs at a cost o f $46,644.80 for a combined cost of $153,449.28, all vehicles from Salinas Valley Ford.
