RESOLUTION NO. _______(N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION RATIFYING A TRANSFER OF FUNDS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENTS RELATED TO THE INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY (IWTF) EXPANSION PROJECT WHEREAS, recent interest to develop additional processing facilities both at an existing industry location and in the Salinas Ag Industrial Center has created additional need for capacity at the IWTF; and WHEREAS, the ambitious scope of work to be completed over the next four years, the need to engage consultants is pressing in order stay on schedule; and WHEREAS, agreements were approved by staff for $30,000 each, with Carollo Engineers, Inc. and E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. in order to advance the project in a timely manner; and WHEREAS, a transfer from the City Manager’s discretionary funds to CIP 9338, which is dedicated to the project was required and requires council approval; and WHEREAS, the City of Salinas believes that the proposed action is a project as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act given its potential to affect direct physical change in the environment and hence has included CEQA efforts in the scope of work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALINAS, that the City Council approves the transfer of funds from the General Fund (1000.80.8005-64.5820) to the dedicated CIP for the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion Project (5800.50.9338-63.5010).
