RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION RATIFYING AND AMENDING EMERGENCY SERVICE AGREEMENTS WITH ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS, INC.
WHEREAS, The City of Salinas owns and operates the Community Center/Sherwood Hall, El Dorado Park Recreation Center and the Salinas Aquatic Center (Operated by the Central Coast YMCA); and WHEREAS, Library and Community Services staff received notice that the heating and HVAC systems were not functioning properly and unable to provide adequate heat and air circulation to the facilities; and WHEREAS, three (3) emergency agreements were approved by the City Manager in the amount of $216,159 with Environmental Systems, Inc. (ESI); and WHEREAS, an additional $32,000 is available in the City’s FY22-23 budget for two (2) projects to fully address the heating and ventilation issues; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council ratifies the 3 emergency agreements with ESI and amends the total cost of the 2 agreements by an additional $32,000.
