A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDED AND RESTATED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINAS AND WALLACE GROUP FOR THE SANITARY SEWER MASTER PLAN UPDATE, CIP NO. 9008 WHEREAS, the City of Salinas owns and operates a municipal sanitary sewer collection system for the residents and businesses within its service area and periodically conducts studies to plan for current and future sanitary sewage collection needs; and WHEREAS, on February 16, 2021, the City authorized an agreement with Wallace Group to perform the Sanitary Sewer Master Plan (SSMP) update (Resolution No. 22051); and WHEREAS, over the course of conducting the SSMP study, certain tasks have been required that were not in the original scope of work; and WHEREAS, the original agreement approved by Council has expired and requires revision to the terms to extend the completion date; and WHEREAS, an Amended and Restated Professional Services Agreement was drafted to reflect these changes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALINAS, that Amended and Restated Professional Services Agreement between the City of Salinas and Wallace Group to provide professional services related to the Sanitary Sewer Master Plan update (Project No. 9008) in the amount of $633,249 is hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council approves a transfer of $45,000 from CIP 9032 account 5800.50.9302-66.4000 (Improvements) to CIP 9008 5800.50.9008-63.5400 (Engineering Services); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes an increase of the CIP 9008, Sanitary Sewer Master Plan appropriation in the same amount of $45,000; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of Salinas is hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City of Salinas, and as its act and deed, to execute the attached Amended and Restated Professional Services Agreement is authorized to execute extensions and/or non-substantive modifications to the Agreement, as necessary.
