Good Morning, CLLS Community,
I am pleased to inform you that your 2022-2023 CLLS/ESL Award packets will be arriving to your authorized representative(s) via DocuSign soon! Please inform your authorized representative(s) that these documents will be arriving to their inbox. Depending on your agency's spam filter settings, it is possible that the DocuSign packet may be sent to spam/junk.
Here is important information about the 2022-2023 award process:
• 2022-2023 CLLS Award packets will be arriving through DocuSign to your authorized representative(s).
• NOTE: An authorized representative is the person identified on your 2022-2023 CLLS Application authorized to sign claim forms (to claim funds) and certification forms (to certify information). Depending on your jurisdiction's processes, you may have one or more signers for the various documents in your award packets. To complete the award packet, all signers must complete all required fields assigned to them.
• 2022-2023 ESL Awards for both Round 1 and Round 2 libraries will be sent separately through DocuSign to your authorized representative(s). CLLS programs receiving both CLLS and ESL funds in 2022-2023 will have to complete two separate DocuSign packets. See "Note" above. • CLLS coordinators will receive a copy of the signed and submitted DocuSign packets. Please download a copy of your submitted award documents from DocuSign for your records. • After your award documents are signed and submitted, it will take about 8-10 weeks to receive your CLLS and ESL award funds by mail to the fiscal address on file. • If the official award amount for your Adult Literacy or Family Literacy program differs from the projected award provided to you in April 2022 to complete the 2022-2023 CLLS Application, I will be connecting with you to complete a budget modification form separately. • If you have trouble completing your DocuSign packets), please email me (Allyson Jeffredo) at [email protected] and/or our State Fiscal Office at [email protected] for support.
• If you have questions about augmenting funds in support of the AmeriCorps Initiative, please email me (Allyson Jeffredo) at [email protected].
If you have any general questions or additional questions about your 2022-2023 CLLS award, 2022-2023 ESL award, please feel welcomed to let me know or schedule a one-on-one meeting using my Calendly. registration link.
Thank you,
Allyson

California State Library | Library Development Services 2022-2023 CLLS Projected Award - Salinas Public Library Jeffredo, Allyson@CSL <[email protected]> Fri 4/22/2022 2:07 PM
To: Cathy Andrews <[email protected]>;Kristan Lundquist <[email protected]> Cc: Schwartzberg, Beverly@CSL <[email protected]> Dear Cathy and Kristan,
Please find below the projected California Library Literacy Services (CLLS) award amount for 2022- 2023. Please use this projected amount to construct your Adult Literacy Services and Family Literacy Services budget in your 2022-2023 CLLS Continuing Libraries Application.
Please note: This email represents a preliminary notification of your projected award amount for 2022- 2023. It is intended to help you complete your 2022-2023 CLLS Continuing Libraries Application form. It does not replace the formal award letter and award packet.
All projected award amounts are tentative and subject to change. They cannot be confirmed until the state budget is passed in June 2022.
Because of the effects of the pandemic on CLLS programs across the state, the projected CLLS Adult Literacy Services award amounts have been calculated using a three-year average from data reported in libraries' 2018-2019 Final Reports, 2019-2020 Final Reports and 2020-2021 Final Reports. For those libraries whose Adult Literacy programs began in 2021-2022, these awards remain the same for the first three years of CLLS program participation.
Similarly, the projected CLLS Family Literacy Services award amounts have been calculated using a three- year average from data reported in the 2018-2019 Final Reports, 2019-2020 Final Reports and 2020- 2021 Final Reports. For those libraries whose Family Literacy programs began in 2021-2022, awards are based on projected program plans.
SALINAS PUBLIC LIBRARY's 2022-2023 projected CLLS award amounts are:
Adult Literacy Services: $91,085
Family Literacy Services: $86,000
If you have any questions or need any additional support, please let me know. You may also schedule a one-on-one meeting during my open office hours here: https://calendly.com/allyson-jeffredo/clls- general-questions.
