RESOLUTION NO. _________ (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CALIFORNIA LIBRARY LITERACY SERVICES GRANT AWARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $91,085 IN SUPPORT OF ADULT LITERACY, AND $90,000 IN SUPPORT OF FAMILY LITERACY FOR A TOTAL GRANT AWARD OF $181,085, AND AUTHORIZE RECEIPT OF FUNDS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SALINAS that the City Manager or his designee may accept funding in the amount of $181,085 from California Library Literacy Services in support of adult and family literacy programs, and further authorize the receipt of funds; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Salinas authorizes the establishment of CLLT – Adult Literacy Fund appropriations totaling $181,085 and corresponding revenue budget for the programs; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Library and Community Services Director is hereby authorized to take whatever additional action may be necessary to effectuate the intent of this Resolution.
