RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
AMENDMENT TO PURCHASE ORDER BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINAS AND WALLACE GROUP INC. FOR SUPPORT SERVICES RELATED TO THE LAKE STREET EMERGENCY SEWER REPAIRS WHEREAS, on February 2, 2021, a wastewater backup and release of raw sewage occurred in Chinatown with subsequent analysis indicating that failure of a sanitary sewer main and the risk of another sewage release was highly likely in the near future; and WHEREAS, engineering staff engaged Anderson Pacific Engineering Construction and Wallace Group, Inc. to begin preparations to perform the repair work on an emergency basis; and WHEREAS, additional services were required to cover soils testing required by the landfill for off-haul by the contractor and final closeout processing; and WHEREAS, these additional services require an amendment to the Purchase Order with Wallace Group in the amount of $17,500.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALINAS, that the amendment to the purchase order between the City of Salinas and Wallace Group, Inc. for support services related to the Lake Street Emergency Sewer Repairs (Project No. 9302) in the amount of $17,500 is hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council approves a transfer of $17,500 from account 5800.50.9302-66.4000 (Improvements) to account 5800.50.9302-63.5010 (Professional Services) in CIP 9302 of the Capital Projects Fund; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of Salinas is hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City of Salinas, and as its act and deed, to execute the amendment to the purchase order between the City of Salinas, a Charter City, and Wallace Group, Inc., a California Corporation; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute extensions and/or non-substantive modifications to the purchase order, as necessary.
