RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINAS AND ENGIE FOR MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF SALINAS SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS WHEREAS, in October, 2014 Council approved the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and other energy improvements along with the maintenance of said systems (Resolution No. 20664) and in August, 2016 approved an Amendment 1 to the agreement (Resolution No. 21032); and WHEREAS, the agreement has now expired and thus requires renewal in order to continue the maintenance of the PV systems; and WHEREAS, on April 22, 2022, a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Maintenance Services for the City of Salinas Solar Photovoltaic Systems was advertised on the “PlanetBids” website; and WHEREAS, submittals were received from three firms, and the submittals were reviewed based on the selection criteria listed in the RFP document; and WHEREAS, the review panel comprising of City staff selected Engie Services US, Inc.as the top-ranked firm; and WHEREAS, an Agreement for Services was successfully negotiated, and secured with said top-ranked firm.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALINAS, that the Agreement for Services between the City of Salinas and Engie Services US, Inc. to for the Maintenance Services for the City of Salinas Solar Photovoltaic Systems in the amount of $643,088 is hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of Salinas is hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City of Salinas, and as its act and deed, to execute the attached Agreement for Professional Services between the City of Salinas, a Charter City, and Engie Services US, Inc., a Delaware Corporation; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute extensions and/or non-substantive modifications to the Agreement, as necessary.
