RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF CHILDREN’S AREA FURNISHINGS FOR CESAR CHAVEZ LIBRARY FROM DEMCO WHEREAS, on December 14, 2021, the City Council accepted and established an appropriation of a $40,000 grant award from Sunlight Giving, a private foundation, for the improvement of children’s area at Cesar Chavez Library.; and WHEREAS, the project will create an expanded space for children and families to experience healthy play and positive interactions through relocation and addition of age-appropriate furnishings.; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code section 12-27 and section 12-27.080 the Salinas City Council authorizes the purchase children’s area furnishing for Cesar Chavez Library from Demco in an amount not to exceed $35,000.
