RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION 1) APPROVING THE AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINAS AND ECOLOGY ACTION OF SANTA CRUZ FOR THE ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN; AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE USE OF ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN FUNDS (CIP: 5800.50.9349) UP TO $212,136.18 FOR THE AGREEMENT WITH ECOLOGY ACTION OF SANTA CRUZ FOR THE SALINAS ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN.
WHEREAS, Ecology Action of Santa Cruz was a co-applicant on the Caltrans a Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant to develop an Active Transportation Plan; and WHEREAS, Ecology Action of Santa Cruz is specially trained, experienced, and competent to perform the special services which will be required by this Agreement; and WHEREAS, Consultant is willing to render such professional services, as hereinafter defined, on the following terms and conditions.
WHEREAS, the City’s application was awarded $394,844 in Transportation Planning Grant Program funds and the City is providing $76,156 in matching funds; WHEREAS, the City has a master fund agreement with Caltrans to receive state funds and is responsible for regional transportation planning and implementation; WHEREAS, the City of Salinas has determined that the proposed action is not a project as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby approves the agreement for Professional Services between the City of Salinas and Ecology Action of Santa Cruz for the Active Transportation Plan and authorizes the City Manager to sign the agreement on behalf of the City; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby approve a Resolution authorizing the use of Active Transportation Plan funds (CIP: 5800.50.9349) up to $212,136.18 for the agreement with Ecology Action of Santa Cruz for the Salinas Active Transportation Plan.
