Re: Reappointment of Jim Tashiro - Jan. 2, 2023 - Jan. 2, 2027 Ladies and Gentlemen:
This is to inform the City Council that the term of office currently held by District Trustee Jim Tashiro will expire on January 2, 2023. Mr. Tashiro has actively and faithfully represented the residents of the City of Salinas on the Board of Trustees of the Monterey County Mosquito Abatement District since 2009.
The California State Health & Safety Code requires our reappointments to be based on the calendar year, January 2nd, and service for an initial full 2-year term, thereafter qualifying for a 4-year term.
Pursuant to Section 2245 (c) of the California State Health and Safety code, the M.C.M.A.D. Board of Trustees respectfully requests that the City of Salinas Council renew his appointment to serve the residents of the City of Salinas for a four-year term for which he is eligible, from January 2nd 2023 to January 2nd, 2027.
