RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION OF THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTING CENTRAL PARK TENNIS COURTS WALL REPLACEMENT AND RESURFACING AND CLAREMONT PARK TENNIS COURTS RESURFACING, CIP NO. 9022, FOR MAINTENANCE AND RESPONSIBILITY WHEREAS, on June 21, 2022, City Council awarded the Central Park Tennis Courts Wall Replacement and Resurfacing and Claremont Park Tennis Courts Resurfacing, CIP No. 9022 to Vintage Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $331,362.00 (Base Bid 1 plus Base Bid 2 plus Additive Alternative “A”); and WHEREAS, the project demolished and replaced the existing 10-ft high tennis courts backstop, resurfaced the existing tennis courts, applied new color finish, installed new striping, removed and replaced all fence windscreens, and replaced portion of the existing chain link fence at Central Park; and WHEREAS, the project resurfaced the tennis courts over a slipsheet overlay system, applied new color finish, installed multi-sport (tennis and pickleball) striping, removed and replaced all fence windscreens, and repaired some of the fence bottom rails at Claremont Park; and WHEREAS, the work has been inspected to meet the requirements of the project plans and specifications; and WHEREAS, the project was substantially completed on December 20, 2022; and WHEREAS, the total construction cost including Change Orders No. 1 and 2, is $342,909.01; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council accepts this project for maintenance and responsibility.
