RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY PARKS PASS GRANT AWARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $31,803 AND AUTHORIZE RECEIPT OF FUNDS WHEREAS, the Salinas Public Library is awarded $31,803 from the California State Library Parks Pass grant on March 7, 2023, to expand the Outdoor Adventure Pack collection and programs; and WHEREAS, the implementation of this grant will continue to help lower the barriers to access and encourage participation for individuals and families in Salinas to experience nature and the outdoors, including State Parks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves acceptance of the California State Library Parks Pass grant award in the amount of $31,803 and authorizes the City Manager or designee to execute all grant acceptance documents and to take whatever additional actions may be necessary to effectuate the intent of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby establishes the appropriation of the State of California Library Fund appropriations of $31,803 and corresponding revenue budget.
