RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION OF THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL ESTABLISHING A TOTAL OF 35 FEET OF “NO STOPPING” RED ZONES AT THE INTERSECTION OF EL SUR AVENUE AND PESCADERO DRIVE WHEREAS, staff received a request to evaluate the intersection of El Sur Avenue and Pescadero Drive for sight lines; and WHEREAS, staff conducted an intersection sight distance analysis and is recommending a total of 35 feet of “No Stopping” red zones at the intersection of El Sur Avenue and Pescadero Drive to provide sufficient intersection sight triangles; and WHEREAS, on May 11, 2023, the Traffic and Transportation Commission voted (4-0) to recommend to City Council the approval of establishing a total of 35 feet of “No Stopping” red zones at the intersection of El Sur Avenue and Pescadero Drive; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby approves the establishment of a total of 35 feet of “No Stopping” red zones at the intersection of El Sur Avenue and Pescadero Drive.
