A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PROPOSED NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC CALMING PROJECT PRIORITIZATION LIST FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 WHEREAS, numerous requests for traffic calming projects have exceeded City’s budgeted resources to respond to and provide traffic calming solutions for all the neighborhoods currently petitioning for projects; and WHEREAS, City staff evaluated and ranked traffic calming request using the Council approved prioritization criteria; and WHEREAS, the Traffic and Transportation Commission reviewed the draft prioritization ranking and modified the traffic calming project prioritization list for fiscal year 2023-2024; and WHEREAS, the Council may choose to recommend changes to the neighborhood traffic calming project prioritization list for fiscal year 2023-2024; and WHEREAS, the City of Salinas has determined that the proposed action is not a project as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL approves the neighborhood traffic calming project prioritization list for fiscal year 2023-2024.
