TITLE: Fiscal-Year-to-Date 2023 Investment Transactions Recommendation:
Receive and accept the Fiscal-Year-To-Date 2023 Investments Transactions activities.
Background:
In accordance with City of Salinas Investment Policy Section 11.A, a report shall be submitted to the City Council accounting for transactions occurring during the reporting period. The attached listings reflect the transactions of the investment portfolios of the City of Salinas and the Successor Agency to the City of Salinas Redevelopment Agency (“Successor Agency”) for the period of July 1, 2022 through May 31, 2023.
CEQA Consideration:
Not a Project. The City of Salinas has determined the proposed action is not a project as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378).
Strategic Plan Initiative:
Exercising transparency with respect to its financial activities ensures the City is accountable to its citizens. Therefore, submitting a report of the City’s and Successor Agency’s investment transactions to the City Council achieves the City Council 2022-2025 Strategic Goal of Effective Government.
Fiscal and Sustainability Impact:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this staff report.
