RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINAS AND
WALLACE GROUP FOR THE SANITARY SEWER SPOT REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE REPAIRS WHEREAS, the City of Salinas owns and operates a municipal sanitary sewer collection system for the residents and businesses within its service area and the City periodically conducts studies to perform repairs on existing deficiencies in the collection system; and WHEREAS, on October 10th, 2022, the City of Salinas entered into an Agreement for Professional Services with Wallace Group for the Sanitary Sewer Spot Repairs and Maintenance Repairs; and WHEREAS, over the course of conducting the Sanitary Sewer Spot Repairs and Maintenance Repairs, additional services have been identified that were not in the original scope of work; and WHEREAS, an Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement was drafted to reflect these changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Salinas and Wallace Group to provide professional services related to the Sanitary Sewer Spot Repairs and Maintenance Repairs (CIP 9742) in the amount of $273,200 is hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council approves a transfer of $173,200 from CIP 9742, Capital Outlays Improvements (5800.50.9742-66.4000) to Outside Services Other Professional Services (5800.50.9742-63.5900); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of Salinas is hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City of Salinas, and as its act and deed, to execute the attached Amendment No 1 to the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Salinas, a Charter City, and Wallace Group, a California Corporation; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute extensions and/or non-substantial modifications to the Agreement, as necessary.
