RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION OF THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF 2-Hour parking zone along west gabilan street between church street and lincoln avenue sign plan WHEREAS, City Hall is planned to be under construction this summer for emergency roof repair and asbestos abatement; and WHEREAS, while City Hall is under construction, the front entrance will be closed to the public and residents will have to enter through the back entrance to do business; and WHEREAS, City staff recommends the designation of 2-hour parking zones along West Gabilan Street between Church Street and Lincoln Avenue, to prevent long term parking and to facilitate parking turnover; and WHEREAS, on July 13, 2023, the Traffic and Transportation Commission voted (3-2) to recommend to City Council to approve staff’s recommendation of 2-hour parking zone designation along West Gabilan Street between Church Street and Lincoln Avenue sign plan to allow for turnaround of parking for customers to have access to City Hall.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby approves the establishment of 2-hour parking zone designations along West Gabilan Street between Church Street and Lincoln Avenue.
