RESOLUTION NO. ____(N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION OF THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL AWARDING JANITORIAL SERVICE AGREEMENT TO KARLA’S JANITORIAL AND SUPPLIERS, LLC WHEREAS, on March 28, 2023, the Salinas Municipal Airport issued a Request for Proposal (“RFP”) for janitorial services at the Salinas Municipal Airport; and WHEREAS, proposals were received at the Salinas Municipal Airport Administration Office at 342 Airport Boulevard., Salinas, California, until 3:00 pm on April 25, 2023; and WHEREAS, a total of six (6) vendors submitted proposals for evaluation; and WHEREAS, an evaluation committee comprised of three cross-departmental City staff members conducted an evaluation and scoring of the proposals based on the criteria set forth in the RFP; and WHEREAS, each proposal was evaluated and assigned a final score using the scoring criteria from the RFP.
WHEREAS, Karla’s Janitorial and Suppliers, LLC was rated the highest responsive score.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code Section 12-21, in reference to the janitorial services contract, that all said proposals are rejected except the proposal from Karla’s Janitorial and Suppliers, LLC.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Karla’s Janitorial Suppliers, LLC’s proposal is hereby accepted. The subject agreement is hereby awarded to Karla’s Janitorial and Suppliers, LLC for the sum of $36,600.00 per year (for a period of three years, with two one-year annual renewal options).
