RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION APPROVING MASTER SERVICE AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINAS AND BEAR ELECTRICAL SOLUTIONS, INC AND ST FRANCIS ELECTRIC LLC FOR ON-CALL STREETLIGHT MAINTENANCE CONTRACTORS WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has identified the need to utilize on-call contractors to perform various projects for streetlight maintenance service; and WHEREAS, in October 2023, the City of Salinas engaged in a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process to identify contractors with the requisite qualifications to provide on-call Streetlight Maintenance services; and WHEREAS, on November 1, 2023, Public Works staff received two (2) statements of qualifications (SOQ) from contractors; and WHEREAS, an evaluation committee consisting of Public Works staff reviewed each SOQ and selected both contractors based on the criteria set forth in the Request for Qualifications; and WHEREAS, the award of projects to the selected On-Call contractors will be based on an additional request for proposal and contractor availability.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council authorizes the Interim City Manager to negotiate and execute Master Service Agreements with Bear Electrical Solutions, Inc. and St Francis Electric LLC to provide on-call Streetlight Maintenance Services related to various City of Salinas public works projects and emergency work, as needed in an amount not to exceed $50.000.
