Dear Michael,
The City of Salinas is requesting a proposal for the construction of the Alisal Greening and Beautification Project, No. 9345, through the current on-call Class A contractor list.
The project includes but is not limited to: removal and disposal of existing concrete patio, existing trees, existing tree stumps, existing landscaping, and existing sidewalk; furnishing and installing permeable pavers, 15-gallon street trees, and 5-gallon shrubs; furnishing and installing bus stop shelter and accessories (solar powered LED illumination, metal bench, and metal trash receptacle); furnishing and installing irrigation system (at 745 N. Sanborn Rd.); furnishing and installing trash and recycling receptacles; refurbishing and painting existing City benches; furnishing and installing signs; 90-day Type 2 plant establishment period; mobilization; construction best management practices; and traffic control.
Construction of the project would begin as soon as December 2023, i f possible, weather permitting, and shall be completed within 75 working days, this does not include the 90 calendar days of Type 2 plant establishment.
The project is being funded thru the Clean California Local Grant Program and City local funds. Due to the grant funding, construction of the project, including plant establishment, must be completed by June 30, 2024.
