RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT NO.3 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINAS AND LAZ PARKING CALIFORNIA, LLC FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MONTEREY STREET PARKING GARAGE INCREASING COMENSATION TO $363,000 PER YEAR WHEREAS, In November 2018, the City approved an agreement with Laz Parking California, LLC for the management of the Monterey Street Parking Garage at a cost of $280,039 annually; and WHEREAS, On December 8th, 2020, the City approved amendment No.1 reducing the hours of operations and annual cost due to concerns that the pandemic would decrease downtown parking demand; and WHEREAS, throughout 2021 and 2022 downtown activity and transient parking increased resulting in the need for additional parking staff; and WHEREAS, City staff and Laz Parking negotiated amendment No. 2 increasing the annual cost not to exceed $355,000 annually and an increase to the hours of operation; and WHEREAS, City Staff are requesting the not to exceed amount to increase by $8,000 to $363,000 to cover December invoice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby authorizes the Interim City Manager to execute an amendment with Laz Parking California, LLC. for the Monterey Street Parking Garage Operations to increase the compensation by $8,000 for a total not to exceed amount of $363,000.
