A RESOLUTION OF THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL AMENDING THE AGREEMENT WITH ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS INC FOR EMERGENCY CITY HALL HVAC SYSTEM REPLACEMENT WHEREAS, on April 4, 2023, City Council approved a resolution awarding an emergency construction contract for the City Hall Roof Repair; and WHEREAS, on June 13, 2023, City Council approved a change order to the Emergency Roof Repair Project to address asbestos abatement; and WHEREAS, on August 23, 2023, City Council approved a resolution awarding a contract to Environmental Systems Inc. (ESI) for emergency replacement of the City Hall HVAC system; and WHEREAS, The City of Salinas has determined that the proposed action is not a project as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378); and WHEREAS, the City and Contractor desire to amend the Agreement to reflect the additional work that will be completed to the end of the contract term. By increasing the agreement compensation by Fifty-Four Thousand, Four Hundred Fourteen Dollars ($54,414); and WHEREAS, the City and Contractor agree to extend the Term date to the agreement to the end of December 2024. Contractor hereby agrees to provide to the City, as the scope of services under this Agreement, the following services: City Hall Emergency HVAC System Replacement; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves amendment No 1 By increasing the agreement compensation by Fifty-Four Thousand, Four Hundred Fourteen Dollars ($54,414); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the term of the agreement is hereby extended to December 31, 2024; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into the amendment on behalf of the City.
