A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH MIRACLE PLAYSYSTEMS AND ROSS RECREATION INC. FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, the City of Salinas has 35 playgrounds located in parks/facilities across the city; and WHEREAS, the Parks, Recreation & Libraries Master identified the majority of playgrounds to be in fair condition; and WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into Agreements with Miracle Playsystems, Inc. And Ross Recreation in September of 2022 and December of 2023; and WHEREAS, given the age of most of our playgrounds and wear and tear, staff can encounter damaged equipment any given day; and WHEREAS, having a service agreement in place will expedite the purchase and repair of additional playground equipment as needed; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Interim City Manager of Salinas is authorized to enter into Agreements with Miracle Playsystems and Ross Recreation, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $50,000 each for the purchase and installation of playground equipment.
