RESOLUTION NO. _______(N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES WITH AMS.NET INC., JOHNSON ELECTRONICS INC., AND MJ COMMUNICATIONS INC. FOR SECURITY CAMERAS & ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS DESIGN, BUILD, INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE IN AN AMOUNT UP TO AND NOT TO EXCEED $1,000,000 WEREAS, door access controls and security cameras are fundamental technology components of the City of Salinas; and WHEREAS, upgrading door access controls and security cameras will ensure secure and reliable access to staff and customers; and WHEREAS, on May 9, 2024, the City of Salinas released a request for proposal for qualified proposers to design, build, install, and maintain door access controls and security cameras; and WHEREAS, AMS.NET Inc., Johnson Electronics Inc., and MJ Communications Inc., are qualified by experience and ability to design, build, install, and maintain door access controls and security cameras; and WHEREAS, the City desires to negotiate and execute an agreement for services with AMS.NET Inc., Johnson Electronics Inc., and MJ Communications Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code section 12-21 the Salinas City Council authorizes the City Manager to negotiate and execute an Agreement with AMS.NET Inc., Johnson Electronics Inc., and MJ Communications Inc. for design, build, installation, and maintenance of door access controls and security cameras in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000.
