RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECT PURCHASE OF ONE
FORD TRANSIT 12-PASSENGER VAN
WHEREAS, the Salinas Police department desires to purchase one 2024 Ford Transit 12-Passenger Van for use by Salinas Police department staff and we have secured a quote from Downtown Ford using the State of California contract rate; and WHEREAS, funds are appropriated and available within the Fleet Replacement Fund; and WHEREAS, the City Council can approve this purchase pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code Section 12-27 (exception to low-bid based competition) in contracting for equipment, materials, supplies and services and pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code 12-28.080 (local purchasing preference).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Salinas City Council authorizes the Purchasing Agent to complete the direct purchase of one 2024 Ford Transit 12-Passenger Van from Downtown Ford in Sacramento for a total cost not to exceed $61,365.70.
