RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CITY HALL EMERGENCY ROOF REPAIRS WHEREAS, damage to the roof structure and disruptions from leaks caused impacts to the workplace for staff and visitors of City Hall; and WHEREAS, repair of the roof required the entire area to be treated. Staff determined that the WeatherWeld product was to be used for the repairs; and WHEREAS, on April 4, 2023, City Council approved Resolution No. 22672 (N.C.S.) authorizing procurement by negotiated contract for the Salinas City Hall Emergency Roof Repair to FC & Sons, an authorized WeatherWeld installer, for $646,271.00; and WHEREAS, a total of fifteen change orders totaling $1,605,916.49 were issued, with the final contract total of $2,252,187.49. Change orders included full removal of the first floor roof system and deck, full abatement of the first floor interior space, installation of new roof deck and roofing system including curbing and an expansion joint; and WHEREAS, the City Hall Emergency Roof Repair Project work was deemed complete on June 04, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby accepts the City Hall Emergency Roof Repair Project for maintenance and responsibility.
