CannaCruz, Inc. (“CannaCruz”) currently holds a City of Salinas Commercial Cannabis Facility

Permit (CCF 2021-003) for retail and distribution at 1156 Abbott Street. CannaCruz was awarded

its permit in 2017 and commenced operations in 2019. CannaCruz has ceased the distribution side

of the operation at the current site. The business has not had any compliance issues since the

commencement of its operation.

CannaCruz is proposing to relocate its existing dispensary facility at 1156 Abbott Street to 1228 S

Main Street in the City of Salinas and include distribution at the new site.

Upon issuance of this permit amendment, CannaCruz, Inc. proposes a cosmetic remodel of the

existing 20,142 square foot building. The facility will be remodeled to create a lobby, dispensary

floor, office area, storage area, packaging area, secured storage of product and currency and

security measures. The retail area will comprise approximately 3,926 SF.

State licenses for retail and distribution will be applied for upon City authorization.

There are no changes proposed to the operation.

Currently, the proposed site does not meet the parking requirements for the change in use.

We are applying for a parking reduction for the new site. The current parking count will be able to accommodate the new change in use proposed by applicants. Applicants only plan to use a portion of the existing floor plan for a dispensary. The current parking requirements extremely overestimate the projected amount of parking needed for the use of the building.

Applicants propose a parking reduction for the site as the current number of spaces will comfortably accommodate the expected traffic and use of the property.
