26 18 INVENTORY CONTROL
Chain of Custody

18.1 Inventory of medicinal marijuana (Flowers, Concentrates and Edible products) is controlled through strict ‘Chain of Custody’ and ‘Lot Control’ Standard Operating Procedures.

The purpose of the chain of custody ‘SOP’ is to detail the process used for controlling and accounting for all medical marijuana received and processed for dispensing to qualifying patients and caregivers.

The Chain of Custody procedure is intended to ensure that there is a “Closed - Circuit” of receiving from qualified cultivators through packaging and dispensing of medicinal marijuana. This procedure ensures that quantities of medical marijuana received are distributed / dispensed / allocated to Registered qualifying patients or caregivers only and that there can be no ‘re-distribution’ of the medical marijuana.

Additional inventory controls are part of the computerized inventory tracking and control system. This system is used as an audit tool and compared to daily manual inventory counts.

CannaCruz also conducts a rigorous inventory ‘cycle count’ program. In th is program we select several items throughout the day and first check the inventory quantity in the system. Then we physically locate all of the items and count them.

The actual inventory count is then compared to the ‘system’ inventory count. Any discrepancy will be investigated.
